Lace and Lacy Weaves Arranged by Mary E. Snyder This small workbook is comprised of a detailed study and comparison of over 47 projects of lace and lacy weaves. The chapters on Bronson, Swedish, Barleycorn, Myggtjall, Huck, and many more, will help you recognize and compare drafts and treadling of various lacey weaves. Each section of different lace structures or class of lace structures starts with a list of several projects and the learning objectives of the section. The projects explain threading plans for different numbers of harnesses, yarn and color variations to achieve fabrics of various weights and uses. Each class of lace weave structure is compared and contrasted with its sister weaves and other lace families. All projects detail the draft, threading plan, tie up and treadling. A minimal number of black and white photos show a few of the woven fabrics. |
